YHPAA's lunch mentorship program "Bridges to Education" focuses on middle school students.  The purpose is to give students an opportunity to have lunch and chat with a professional about their work, school, goals, and sign a High School Graduation contract called IMPACT 2021.  BTE provides support to middle school students in a stress-free environment.

Each professional has 4-6 students and the lunch chat begins.  It's easy for professionals to get out of work over their lunch time and easy for the students because of their lunch time too!

SL Mobile Loaves and Fishes:

The program provides food, clothing, and dignity to our brothers and sisters in need.   We accomplish this mission through the use of 12 catering trucks that go out onto the city streets of Austin, San Antonio, New Orleans, Providence, and Nashville every night of the week, thanks to the hard work of our almost 10,000 volunteers and a single supply truck.

Looking to volunteer and expand your community efforts? Help YHPAA reach out by giving your time to a great cause!

Un Sabado Gigante in Engineering

Un Sabado Gigante in Engineering is a free one-day program designed to inspire 500 plus middle school students about engineering and science.

The program incorporates hands-on opportunities for students while making the activities enjoyable. The students and parents participate in two workshops throughout the day.

Each student workshop includes a project involving student participation that focuses on Engineering and Science applications in the real-world.

The parents'workshops consist of tutorials on the college application process and support opportunities, as well as lectures on overall advantages of a college education. All workshops are offered in both Spanish and English.

After the workshop the students will rotate between partner rooms that showcase different engineering and science-related disciplines. This time will be an opportunity for students to view the presentations and demonstrations from companies and organizations in the Austin area.

Future Projects coming soon!!
